Compass tablets

The Compass tablets are a WLS/ bariatric supplement of Elan and have been specially developed for people who have undergone a gastric bypass. During a gastric bypass, your stomach is reduced in size and part of the intestines are bypassed. This will allow you to eat less and your body to absorb fewer nutrients. Bariatric surgery is the start of a new life and a step towards a healthier lifestyle. After undergoing gastric bypass, your body will not receive enough nutrients to keep you feeling fit enough without additional supplements. The Compass tablets ensure that you still get enough vitamins and minerals daily to supplement your diet after your gastric bypass to supplement your
diet after gastric bypass.

RAPID RELEASE TECHNOLOGY
Elan's Compass capsules have long been known for their excellent tolerability. This major advantage of Elan's Compass capsules is caused by the fact that the capsules are a size smaller than those of similar providers. This makes Elan's Compass capsules easier to take and leads to fewer stomach and abdominal discomforts (such as nausea). Given the fact that after your gastric bypass, you must continue to take a WLS/bariatric supplement on a daily basis for life in order not to develop vitamin and/or mineral deficiencies, we at Elan continue to make daily efforts to make the tolerability of our products as optimal as possible.

Elan is therefore proud to present the Compass tablets with Rapid Release Technology. In recent months, Elan's Research & Development (R&D) department has been working hard to introduce this innovative product and develop the Rapid Release Technology. The starting point of the Rapid Release Technology development process was that Compass tablets should have a similar disintegration time as Compass capsules, so that the vitamins and minerals would become available for absorption by your body just as quickly. This is obviously very important to avoid developing vitamin and/or mineral deficiencies after your gastric bypass. The Compass tablets are neutral in taste and smell and their smaller size and smooth coating make them even easier to swallow than Compass capsules.

Elan's Compass tablets are a high-quality dietary supplement to meet your daily requirement of vitamins and minerals. The dosage of the Compass tablets is based on the latest scientific literature to meet your daily needs as accurately as possible and ensure the perfect individual adjustment. The ingredients in the Compass tablets are natural where possible and always easily absorbed by your body. The Compass tablets have a neutral taste and can be taken easily due to their coating. 

Description: Food supplement. 
Food supplements are no substitute for a varied and balanced diet. The recommended daily allowance of some vitamins and minerals is exceeded in this dietary supplement.

Ingredients: Minerals, vitamins, bulking agent (E460(i)), disintegrating agent (E468), choline bitartrate, binding agent (vegetable oil), anti-caking agent (E470b, E551), coating agent (E464, E170, E553b, E1521) colouring agent (E172). The product contains no added lactose, gluten, flavourings or fragrances.

Elan's Compass tablets are halal certified. 

Storage advice: Store below 25 °C and in a dry and dark place. Keep out of reach and sight of young children. This dietary supplement is not suitable for children under 10 years of age. 

Recommended dose: 1 Compass tablet per day, preferably to be taken before or during the evening meal. Use only on the advice of your practitioner. When taking medication, read the package leaflets carefully. In case of overdose, consult your doctor.

In the unlikely event that you forget to take your Compass tablet one day, this is not a serious problem, as long as it does not happen too often. You can then continue taking your Compass tablets as usual and do not need to make up or take extra doses.   

Important: If you also take the Calcium Vital swallow tablets or Calcium Chew chewable tablets, take these at a different time from the Compass tablet. There should be at least 2 hours between taking the Calcium Vital swallow tablet or the Calcium Chew chewable tablet and your Compass tablet so that your body has sufficient time to absorb the iron properly.
